Mummy From The Heart has set up this great weekly post for reasons to be cheerful, you can read all about it here. Basically the idea is simple write a post listing three things you are grateful / thankful for at that point in time.
A really simple but effective thing and something that I really wanted to be involved in as I think we easily forget things to be thankful for in the daily grind of life, and get wrapped up in moaning about things. More

You can tell it’s near Christmas. I don’t mean the decorations, the Christmas music that is on where ever you go, or the hoards of people shopping like they have never shopped before. I don’t even mean the sickness that comes in December.
No you can tell it’s near Christmas as everyone is so flaming tired.
Our house is manic at the moment. More

I was dreading today.
Mr L was working and was taking my car as his is not drivable at the moment, so Baba and I were stranded. Our house was a mess and I generally was thinking it was going to be a bit of a pants day.
How wrong was I? More

I have had an unusual weekend! Unusual in the fact that I have seen my friends, and that Baba has been away!
I have to admit since having Baba 18 months ago I have been bad at meeting my friends, oh I see them with Baba but actually seeing them for a good girlie chat to moan about our other halves talk about how great they are, hasn’t really happened. I know you can do that to a degree with the children there, but they are all getting a bit older now, and they take stuff in so we try to be positive about their daddies now! More

It’s my second mother’s day tomorrow.
For all of Mr L’s great things, mother’s day is not one of them. He is rubbish when it comes to getting things for mother’s day, and I do not just mean for me. He is rubbish for his own mother as well. I have to do all the present giving at mother’s day and have done the whole time that we have been together. More

Baba was at Nannies today as it was a work day for Mummy. He bowled in to her house at lunch time, (as we got a few extra hours today on our own) chatting away to his granddad. He was so at peace that when I said goodbye to him, he turned around and just waved, I don’t think he even noticed that I had gone, as he was back playing with his garage straight away.
Today when I went to collect him he did a succession of things that I was very impressed with, I don’t know whether he just preforms at Nannies, or whether he has done these before in front of her, but to me they were new. More

We got our confirmation today for our Sun holiday, to Wales. We are going for a long weekend and I can’t wait.
Now I know it is not the most fantastic holiday in the world, but it is our first family holiday and I am so looking forward to it. We are off to a caravan park and it brings back lots of happy memories of my childhood holidays. More

Valentine’s day… well what can I say!
We decided this year that we wouldn’t be doing anything for valentine’s day, as five years in to our relationship I don’t think either one of us was that bothered.
Mr L did give me a card in 2006 dated until 2010 so he had already covered himself!! More

Night time has come
And Mums last to bed
One more stop
To the baby’s bed
As she walks in, he is upside down
All his covers are thrown, and his feet are hanging out More
