Hotter Penny Shoes

Before Christmas I was lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous parcel that contained some lovely shoes. As we all know a girl loves to get some shoes, so I was obviously excited but even more excited when I saw these.

Feeding The Ducks!

Today we went to feed the ducks! I was fed up indoors, and it was a lovely day so I thought that we had better make the most of it and get out as much as we can while it is still possible. Living in this country you just never know.

So I asked Baba whether he wanted his pushchair and got a very distinctive no! Now it is a little way to the ducks to be honest. Especially if you have little legs, I told him that I wouldn’t carry him and he still said no. So we walked to the ducks for the first time ever!

It took a long time to get there, and we stopped lots. Mainly because so many airplanes where flying over us so we had to keep having a look. We also had to have a little break so Baba could have  a little sit down!

Days Like These

Today Baba and I have had a great day, enjoying the basic things off life.

We walked and we played all day long. Now I know that most of you will say that is nothing unusual, but for us it is a little strange. Usually we are so busy either doing things or having things to do at home. But today I noticed a change.

Baba is getting better at amusing himself, and I love it. Not that I want him doing things on his own all the time! But in the past, I have had to use things, such as music or the tv to keep him amused just for the fifteen minutes that I need to get out and do the washing. But this is no longer needed.

Doggy Misbehaving!

Our dog has recently been a really good dog!

We have got into a routine with walking and he no longer is pulling on the lead, well not as much as he used too! He sits and waits at the road, and doesn’t move until he is told to, so at last he is like a normal dog. A dog that behaves, and he is a clever dog, it only took him a week to get trained to only go to the toilet down one end of the garden. We were all so impressed with him, as we have had issues with T to say the least, he has always had a devil streak in him, just for naughtiness. He would be the cheeky chap at the front of the class that is for sure. But we really felt that we were getting somewhere with him.

101 Things in 1001 Ten Things Done

Well haven’t I been busy and I didn’t even realise.

I have completed 10 yes that is right 10 of my 101 things to do in 1001 days, and I didn’t even realise. I am so happy. I am sitting here with a big grin on my face. How smug do I feel right now. Ha ha!!

How time flies

Yesterday Baba and I took the dog for a walk.

Nothing unusual there, I know we do that near enough every day. But the different thing was yesterday Baba WALKED!

He has been walking more and more, for months now. We have been letting him out of his pushchair more, and he has walked up to his nannies a couple of times, she only lives a couple of roads away. But I have been putting off the walking the dog, as I find it hard enough walking the dog on my own. Then I suddenly thought, what if it is easier to walk the dog with Baba walking!

Walking family

We had sunshine today! Yeah!

So we packed everything up into the push chair and went for a walk, when I say a walk. I don’t just mean down the road and back. Oh no we went for a serious walk!

We walked down to the local castle ruins, and then up to my mum and dads house to have some lunch. This was an hours walk on its own. We had a little break and then walked back down town, and back home which was an hour and a half in total.

T is now fast asleep on the sofa and has been since we got home, and Baba had a nice long snooze in the push chair and went to bed very easily tonight.

How to wear out your dog and child in one swoop.

I really enjoyed it, it was just nice to be outside with no extra layers, for the rain, the snow, the ice and the cold. It was also nice not to get wet!

Snippets of my day

Baba and I were at Nannies for lunch today. Baba was sat in his high chair getting his hands and face washed after lunch. He laid his hands stretched out over Nannies table, and started blowing raspberries on the table, in between each raspberry he lifted his head and laughed hysterically at my mum. This must have lasted for ten minutes, mum now officially thinks my child is mad.

Super Skinny Me Update 1

So after finally getting better, I decided that today was going to be the day that the super skinny me mission was starting, as I lost a few pounds while I was poorly.

So this afternoon, Baba and I got ready with the added help of my mum, as she wants to lose a bit of weight as well, and we took T (the dog) for a half hour walk. We then dropped T off, and walked down to town and back up again, for about an hour. So that was a good hour and a half walk. Which I was really impressed with, as I haven’t really done any exercise for months now, with my leg playing up again.
