Birthday

Today has been my birthday, and I have had a lovely day. Got spoilt as per usual, with lots of chocolate and had a nice meal with my parents, Mr L and Baba.

I can’t believe that I am in my last year of my 20’s oh that sounds scary and with a one year nearly 18 month old baby! I remember when I was at school I wrote a list of things that I wanted to do by the age of 30! I found it the other day and this is how it pans out;

1) Have a family – Obviously done, I have wonderful Mr L in my life and Baba and T the dog, so I think that the family is there. Mr L and I are now having the debate of another one, I say no he says yes! Oh what to do?

2) Do another parachute jump – I don’t think this will now happen, with having Baba I would take a long look at doing this now. I loved it at the time but now I don’t know whether it would be worth it?

3) Write a novel – Well I am working towards this one, I have started my writing course and have done a lot of work on this today actually. Thanks to my good friend your help was really appreciated. I am really pleased that I have started the course and feel that I am making the right steps towards this goal.

4) Get published – Watch this space!

5) Have my own business – I have my own Avon business and I love it, I have a good team that is going from strength to strength and I plan to increase this, this year so that can be ticked off.

6) Travel the world – Not done, I have been to Kos, and Egypt, thats all but I still have big plans for this one, although they now involve the whole family. I think this one needs to go to the list of things to do before I am 40!

7) Buy a house – Actually brought 2, sold one and brought the next. Can truly be ticked of the list.

8) Be financially independent – Well really who is in this current economic climate, but getting there.

9) Meet someone who loves me for me – Mr L your cue, he is here and he will be here. Done!

10) Get up to date with my scrapbooks – I think I will be doing this forever and a day but I will get there, I am making steady progress.

Well there is my list and in my last year before I hit the big 30 I have 6 things on my list still to do. One is definitely out this year and needs to be put into the list for the things to do before I turn 40. But the rest…well all I can do is aim for them this year and see what happens. They will only become closer to being finished, so that is a good thing even if I don’t complete them. Lets see how I do…

    I enjoyed the morning I spent with you reading you work. There is some good stuff there and I’ve read a lot! I hope you weren’t too exhausted by the time I left. Fancy spending your birthday with ME! Anyway, enjoyed “George and Sam” – thank you.

      That is fine, I loved it was so good to speak to someone who loves writing as much as me. I am glad you enjoyed “George and Sam” have just finished “On Chesil Beach” and I really enjoyed it. Very emotional and so well written. Glad you like the header, it is Baba (as he is affectionately known on here) and me walking along a friends garden I love the picture it is one of my favourites. xx
