Super Skinny Me

Baba is now 15 months old, and 15 months later I am still crying the weight that I gained when I was pregnant with him. I stood on the scales today and I still need to lose the 4 stone that I put on when pregnant. Which is an almighty challenge. Especially as I am not a person that likes to eat, I am one of these people who eats because I know I have to eat, I would never eat and eat because I love the food. I like the food, but I would never eat too much of it. So why do I have so much weight to lose? Well there is one major flaw in my eating I love chocolate, it is the only food that I love, and I can eat it all day long. Which is the main problem for me to lose weight.

So why don’t I just stop eating chocolate, that’s what Mr L says to me, but if only it was that easy. I look forward to having my chocolate, and I enjoy it so it is very hard to give up, and it is my one vice, I don’t drink I don’t smoke but I do eat chocolate!

And there is exercise! I hate it, always have and probably always will, but I do know that I have to do it. I have been out of action for a year as I had an operation on my knee in 2008, but that seems to be better now. But when the hell do you do exercise with a baby thats what I have tried to work out for the last 15 months.

Basically I have made so many excuses over the past year I have almost convinced myself that I do not have the ability to lose all of this weight. Now I know that is not true, so I am stopping the crap that I have told myself and am going to do this and do this the right way.

So I have a plan…

  1. Walk the dog everyday, it is a task I know with the pushchair and everything else, but other people do it so I can do it too, no more excuses.
  2. Use the Wii Fit, Mr L brought me this last year for my birthday and for christmas last year, he brought me the Plus version so I need to start using it.
  3. Try to eat properly! This one is the hardest one that I am going to have to do, but at least I have to try it.

So here goes, lets see how this goes shall we. If any of you have some tips then that would be great. Otherwise I shall try to keep a regular post of how I am doing with this!

Wish me luck! I think I will need it!

Speaking as a fully fledged chocoholic, I can tell you that daily doggy walks will make a huge difference to your weight. Get a 3 wheeler pushchair, or a back carrier, and get out there. Or try running like me, if you’re completely insane. No, in fact, don’t try running. It’s hideous, it hurts, and the next thing you know you’ll be signing up to run a marathon…

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
