The day I told Mr L!

This post is inspired from Sleep is for the Weak Writing Workshop.

I have decided to do prompt number 5 this week.

Tell me about the most romantic moment, or moments of your life so far.
– Inspired by soppy Sally at Who’s the Mummy who thinks thatromance isn’t about places but about people.

Mr L and I have a relationship where we bicker a lot. We are both very head strong, and never say sorry so when we disagree it can be a problem. I am telling you this as this is from where the most romantic moment so far for me has come from.

Mr L had been clubbing with our lodger at the time, he had called as he wanted to be picked up at 4am on this particular night. I wasn’t too impressed but also knew if I said no they would never get home. So off I went to get him. I was tried and in a kind off daze so was not in the mood for him, frankly being an idiot.

I picked them up, Mr L and lodger, and started the drive home. Mr L was driving me mad he was playing with the gear stick, shouting, playing with the radio and generally being drunk and disorderly. So I snapped at him, I can’t remember what was said now, but basically I told him to shut up! He wasn’t impressed, he told me to stop the car and he was going to walk home. Off he stomped.

Now he is known to do this, gets to the corner and then realises it is too damn cold and comes back begging to be taken home. So as this is the usual behaviour, I stayed where I was. However Mr L didn’t come back!

So I jumped out of the car and run down the road after him, telling him to come back! He was not happy by now and told me to get lost, he’s fed up with me being grumpy and marches down the road.

So I stop, “I’m pregnant” I shout at him.

He turns around and looks at me, “are you sure?”

“Yes”

He comes running back to me…

“Really, your sure?”

“Yes”

His face changes and he picks me up, he is so happy.

The rest as they say is history.

That has to be one of the romantic moments in my life so far, it is so out of a movie, but I promise true. I will be enternally grateful to St James Park Road. Thank you.
