The Gallery – Me and Friends

So over at Sticky Fingers it is that time again for The Gallery. This week the prompt was ME! I have to admit I found this hard, I hate my photo being taken with a passion so there aren’t that many in the first place. The other problem was that there are so many me’s as well, I couldn’t decide which ones to go with.

There is me as a mum, me as a business woman, me as daughter etc. However I decided to go with me as a friend for this week.

(C) 2010 And Then All I Thought About Was You

The first picture is of me and my best friend. We have been friends since we started primary school at the grand age of four and a half and we are now nearing 30. We are very different, so different you wouldn’t think we would get on, but I trust her with my life and I trust her with my baby’s life. When we found out we were expecting Baba I knew that she would be his godmother and that was final, and Mr L knew there was no changing it. I am glad she is my friend, we have our up and downs but isn’t that what friends are for. I love this photo as it is the most recent one we have of just us two without a child or other half in it. It is when everything started to change for us. I had only been with Mr L a few months and she had just got with her now fiance so our lives where moving from being students and getting our careers to changing to what they are now.

The second is me and Mr L, enough said, except yes he is my other half, but he is also one of my best friends. You finally get to see the man. We had just moved into our caravan at this point, little did we know four years later we would have a babe a house, and a dog. How things change.

The last picture is of my two best mates from college. We have been friends for years, and we are all over the country. We don’t see a lot of one another but when we do we laugh, and pick up where we left off.

So there is another side to me. Me with my friends.

Kerry you look fabulous in all these – why do we hate having our photos taken so much – it’s madness – go read what Helen has to say about it here – she is SO right!

I was like you were for many years until I had J infact and then suddenly those photos meant so much and now all my pictures of me represent where I have come from and where I am going and how things have changed. They are my most treasured memories. Great photos! You and your best friend look like you have a wonderful relationship!

It’s so hard to sum yourself up in a single picture isn’t it? These are beautiful.
