Monday Fun

As it was a bank holiday Monday we went off to Marwell Zoo with all of Mr L’s family, and we had a really nice day. It did rain, and there were very cold spells and a lot of wind, but even with all of that we had a good day.

I think it was a day of realisation for Mr L and I, about how much Baba has actually grown. Obviously we know that he has grown, and we see things everyday. But every so often, there is a day where everything is different and he is a proper boy! Monday was one of these days.

Baba didn’t stop on Monday! He loved every minute of it. All the animals he got excited about, although the penguins where something spectacular!

You can see the penguins under the water through the glass, and the glass was just the right height for Baba! Every time a penguin swam past, he went into a fit off giggles had his knees bent where he was laughing so much and thought it was hilarious. When they swam away he would tell us that they were gone, and would then scream when they came back! It was great fun to see and he was having a fantastic time!

He loved the monkeys and the tigers, and all we have had since Marwell is “ooh ooh ooh” for monkeys and roaring for tigers bless him!

He was fascinated by the baby giraffe who I have to say is very cute! He could not stop staring at both of them, mum and baby as they were so large! The nicest thing was the fact that all day he just seemed to smile!

He walked as far as he could and did amaze Mr L and I how long he actually managed to walk for, even though he was tired and we could see he was tired he still kept going. He was not going to give in. He was not going to miss anything that was there.

It was a real pleasure to see his face light up all the time, at all the different animals. I am glad that we took him at this age, as everything was amazing! He loved it all and it was a great day for Mr L and I as well!
