Slimming

So I have been going to Slimming World for two weeks now. I have really wanted to take part in the Mummy Tummy Begone challenge, but my knee’s have been really bad and that is not an excuse, some days it has been hard for me to even get up and down the stairs. So I didn’t think any form of running was a good thing for me to do. So I went for the dieting route instead.

Now I have done Slimming World before, so the actual diet has not been a problem. I know what I am doing, but that is almost the problem this time. In the two weeks that I have been doing it I have only lost three and a half pounds. Now I know that you are all going to scream at me that losing steady and little is the way to go. But I did want to be losing a little more than that.

We have a wedding to go to at the end of the month and I really wanted to be in the next size down clothes, for the dress that I want to wear.

So tonight there is nothing more that I can do, exercise is going to have to come into play.

I have been making a real effort to walk the dog regularly, and have been enjoying doing it. But I think that I have to do this more than once a day. It is no secret that I don’t like walking him with the pushchair but it is going to have to be done. I am just going to have to get on with it.

I also think that I either need to use the Wii Fit more, or some of my workout DVD’s not sure whether to use the TaeBo DVD or the music DVD at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t know what else I can do. I am eating better and eating to the plane so if I start exercising then I am doing everything that I can.

The problem is I know what I am like, I need to lose what I want to the next week otherwise I will give up as I am not achieving what I want. This is what is really annoying me. As I know that I can do it, and I don’t want to stop doing it. But if I don’t lose the amount that I want to lose this week I will be really miffed off, and wont want to go back to the group the next week!

Not happy at the moment!

Hi Kerry!! As you know i use the gym, but i also have just picked up the ‘sonia jackson’ dvd, at a carboot funnily enough. And looking at her, being so slim after seeing her on the screen a bit chubby(er) it has given me real inspiration to loose my weigh and look like her!!!
Its a very good dvd as it uses alot of the moves you would do in a step class, but simpler.
I have just joined the rosemary conley class thats on tuesday nights, and they add in a 45min workout at the end of the weigh in. which helps massively!!
My first weigh in in next tuesday, and im quietly confident on 5lbs lost…

Hi Kerry, losing weight properly takes time unfortunately. The only way is to eat less and to get rid of sugar totally. And of all those extras that are tasty but only empty calories like crisps, fizzy sweet drinks etc. If you, like me, don’t like the gym and exercising in general, power walks are a good solution, with or without dog. And drink a lot of water. And don’t get stressed about it. Best of luck. Ciao. A.

Thanks for your advice, greatly appreciated. I do all of the above apart from the water thing I am bad at that, so am trying with that one this week making a real effort for drinking water. I am just getting fed up with it all really but I am sure that it will happen soon x
