Boredom – New things! Polls, and Prizes!

So here goes. I am bored!

There I have said it, and it feels much better to have admitted it! I did admit it to Mr L the other day and he agreed that he had noticed. Which was a good and a bad thing! Good that he has taken notice, but bad because I must be showing it a little more than I thought.

My general life and wellbeing is great. Obviously I love being with Mr L and I love being a stay at home mummy, and I would not change that for the world. I love working from home as well. I love doing my writing and do love working on my Avon. However at the moment it is not enough.

I am not sure why but I really feel like I could be doing more, and it is annoying me that I am not! I don’t want to go back to the work that I did before having Baba, working with disabled children. I know that I could not mix the two, but there is still something lacking somewhere.

So after talking to Mr L in-depth. I have decided to take the plunge and start selling a few of my arts and crafts, mainly scrapbook albums and journal jars. I would like some of your opinions, mainly would you buy these things. I am going to put up a few pictures, and would love your comments, as I would love to know what the response is. I am not talking figures here, just a plain yes or no to buying the item.

The above is a Squash Book Mini Album. It is a scrapbook that can be folded into a compact, portable album that can be treasured for a lifetime. It holds quite a few small pictures, so a very handy little album.

The above is a letter album, these a wonderful things, and I can make them in various forms, Mummy, Daddy, Family, Wedding. The word is spelt out as you can see and then pictures are put on the backside of the letters and the whole word is decorated. These are great original things for presents.

The pictures above are Journal Jars. Now journal jars are fantastic, they come with a jar full of questions, you take a question everyday, stick the question in the book included and answer it. That simple but it creates a great story of you and your special occasion. They are all numbered as well, if you want them in order. This is a baby journal jar, but they can be made for weddings, school memories, holidays, children’s years, family history. Great presents and they look lovely on shelves!

The above is an Envelope Album, these can be made as thick or thin as you want them and can be done with any envelopes. They can be used to store letters, cards or any other keepsakes that you don’t want to lose. This one has all of Baba’s new baby cards in. It means they are all kept in one place and they can be treasured forever!

The last two pictures are of a Photo Explosion Box. It is a great square-shaped box, that can be used to put a small gift in such as a cupcake, or small piece of jewellery, and then it opens to an album when the lid is taken off. It has a lot of layers, this one has four once it is opened up so it can over 20 photos in total. A great gift that has been used for mother’s day in the past.

So that is what I make.

All I want to know is if anyone would buy these things. If you could please just answer the poll for me I would be very grateful. Please leave a comment, with your blog address and twitter name, as a random person who answers the poll will be sent a prize. Thank you!

Wow so many talents. You should definatley go for it.

As a fellow crafter I love all these things (especially the word album) and would buy them all but looking at the things from a broader view I would say would be for the squash book.

Squash book – not sure if people would put the effort in to cut the photos correctly. I think crafter types would but then would they just make one themselves? Also, what sort of material is the outside? Is it hardwearing etc if its for portable photos it will no doubt get about abit and be put in handbags etc.

The rest all seem like fab items though.

Thanks a lot that is great to know that even a fellow crafter would buy them. The Squash book is made out of chipboard and covered, but it does need a sleeve or something over it as well. I was thinking the same about the photos, but they can also be used for other things, I have seen them with favourite poems written on them etc so maybe there is that idea as well.

But thanks a lot has given me a few things to think about, I shall keep you posted how I get on. Aren’t the word books lovely though they are great aren’t they I love them xx

Wow, you have some really unique ideas there. I’m always trying to find new gifts and as I’m a real sentimental person I always try to find “keepsakes”. I love things where you can look back in years to come so all your crafts I’m sure will do really well.

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it to you or if you’ve seen it before but there is a website called notonthehighstreet.com where you can register to sell your goods. It sells all different kinds of homemade crafts.

Good luck, though I’m sure you won’t need it! x
