Feeding The Ducks!

Today we went to feed the ducks! I was fed up indoors, and it was a lovely day so I thought that we had better make the most of it and get out as much as we can while it is still possible. Living in this country you just never know.

So I asked Baba whether he wanted his pushchair and got a very distinctive no! Now it is a little way to the ducks to be honest. Especially if you have little legs, I told him that I wouldn’t carry him and he still said no. So we walked to the ducks for the first time ever!

It took a long time to get there, and we stopped lots. Mainly because so many airplanes where flying over us so we had to keep having a look. We also had to have a little break so Baba could have  a little sit down!

When he was ready we moved on and went to feed the ducks. Didn’t Baba scream with delight, he feed them all of the bread and then stood on the bridge just watching the ducks swim around.

I have to say I was gutted at this point as my camera had died as I could have got some great pictures, but another day I am sure.

On our way back we meet Mr L and Tito who had run down to meet us. Which Baba thought was brilliant so all in all it was a great impromptu moment out! One that will be repeated!

What a lovely thing to do. So simple. I wish we had a duck pond near us! x

I think John Lennon was bang on when he said that life is what happens while your busy making other plans. He was so right, some of our best times as a family have been the off the cuff ones. Sounds like you had a great day x
