Nits!

Nits entered our house today for the first time.

Unbelievably but true nits entered my life for the first time today. My sister and I both grew up without catching nits so I didn’t really know what I was looking for or what they were.

Until I saw one!

Luckily Baba has such light and fine hair and still not much of it, it was easy to spot. He woke from his nap, as he was walking past me I could see something in his hair, and I managed to get the slippery sucker there and then. It was only a baby but I got him.

The first thing that went through my mind was “its gross, can’t do it” I quickly got my head around and tried to think rationally what to do.

So I scooped him up, stripped him and put him the bath! See logical!

I washed his hair and then put lots of conditioner in, and brushed his hair through with a nit comb to check that we hadn’t missed any. We only found a couple of eggs later on we all sat around the lounge with a certain nit repellant in our hair looking like a grease factory had hit our house. I literally itched all night and even after washing my hair looks greasy needless to say only Baba had some.

I am still itching about it now, I have changed all the bedding and hope that is the end of it. This was the one thing I was dreading and thought that I would freak! I didn’t that much I am impressed about but still don’t like it and hope they stay away for  a long time!

The best prevention is daily combing in the bath.

    The best lice comb is:
