what a cutie. my son had curls like that except dark, and he had a very similar vest. this photo brought back memories.

Ah, yes: I had an SLR once (pre-digital). A lot of fun fiddling can be had 🙂
You got this one right: lighting, tones, contrast, focus, perspective: great shot!
