Mummy, Nurse – Nurse, Mummy

Thursday I got a text from Mr L.

“Call me Now”

It was in the middle of the day, not at break time, not at lunch actually in the middle of the afternoon! As soon as I read the message, my heart skipped a beat and I thought ‘oh god.’

Mr L is a ground worker, he works on construction sites, he uses diggers, and other machines, lots of things can go wrong in his job. I know that!

I knew something had happened… More

Birthday

Today has been my birthday, and I have had a lovely day. Got spoilt as per usual, with lots of chocolate and had a nice meal with my parents, Mr L and Baba.

I can’t believe that I am in my last year of my 20’s oh that sounds scary and with a one year nearly 18 month old baby! I remember when I was at school I wrote a list of things that I wanted to do by the age of 30! I found it the other day and this is how it pans out; More

New Year. New Me

Well I have read peoples blogs today and have had so much fun doing it. But it means that I haven’t done any housework, as am preoccupied with reading Blogs. Not a good idea.

One blog that really struck a cord was  by Josie. It made me think that I haven’t actually made any resolutions or plans for this year, and I have so many things that I want to do. I know that it is a bit late but I was thinking that if I don’t put something down I know that I will end up starting one thing and not finishing it and carrying on that cycle. Joy Of Being A Mummy

I have had one of those draining days today where it just seems to get worse and worse. It all started nice and early, at 5.30am that was a nice surprise from Baba I have to say. Screaming and crying at the top of his voice, so of I trudged in to be meet with a disgusting nappy and a crying baby. A few minutes and a change of clothes later, for Baba not me, and Mr L was gone out the door to work, and I was left with Mr Grumpy Pants.

Bless him, I don’t think he has known what to do with himself all day, one minute he is fine and then he is screaming the house down, and is just pointing at everything in sight view. I give it to him and he screams, he puts his little hands up in the air and I pick him up, and he wants to get down. More

Nan I Miss You

Writing Workshop Badge This post was inspired from Sleep is for the Weak  Writing Workshop and I choose Prompt 2)

Tell me about something you miss
– Inspired by Tara’s beautiful post in which she laments over time moving too fast: “The one where I learn to appreciate the little things”.

I have never done this before but lets hope that I do ok, but I thought that if I was going to do it I may as well do it now, otherwise I will just read and not take part.
