It has been a strange year, one that has sometimes flowed and one that has sometimes been incredibly hard but one that has been filled with excitement and joy.
It started so well and we were looking for new things for 2010 these were quickly dashed when Baba went down hill and was very poorly for a good month or so. We spent numerous days in hospital, all in a month-long period. He had another convulsion, he had his first rigor. He had tonsilitis, sickness, ear infection, throat infection, and croup. We were given penicillin, he was allergic, a nebulizer, and antibiotics all to be told that he had tonsilitis for a whole month. We saw the ambulance men more in the month of february to march than ever before. It was tiring, stressful, scary and a really hard work. But more than anyone hard work for little Baba. He fought a lot in that month, but came out the other side! More

I may not be here for a while!
Our house is upside down inside out and generally all the wrong way round. Everything is in the wrong place. Nothing has a home and we have a thousand and one extra toys to find a place for.
Yes that is right people I am sorting, cleaning, tidying and rehoming.
It has taken me two days to do two rooms! I am going to be gone for a while I shall see you all soon, organised and refreshed. I hope not to be too long.

We were sent the CBeebies Song Time CD to review and what a hit it was!
I was really impressed that it was a 2CD album, with over 50 songs from the CBeebies channel. I was also impressed that we actually knew almost all of the songs, I think there was maybe 5 or 6 that we had never heard of but other than that we knew them in various forms. Obviously some of the songs were a lot longer on the CD than on the TV but this didn’t bother Baba just more dancing time! More

When Baba was born his bottom eyelashes grew into his eyes, and touched his actual eyes. This happened on both eyes, and we were told by the midwife who came to see us on the ward that it was a common condition and that he would grow out of it.
When he was around three months, I had his three-month review and mentioned his eyes once more. Again we were told he would grow out of it, and to wash his eyes and gently pull his lower eyelid down to manipulate the correction.
Between three months and his ten month review, Baba had a few instances of conjunctivitis that we went to the doctors about and got antibiotics, all the while mentioning that his eyelashes didn’t seem to be improving. We told the doctors that we were concerned that they were irritating Baba and that they were contributing to the conjunctivitis and asked whether there was anything that could be done about it? More

Don’t you just love that feeling off squelching between your fingers and toes.
Making such a mess and no one caring.
Everyone getting involved, laughing and giggling.
Running from the mess but really running to the mess.
It is such fun to be had
But the best bit
The really best bit
Is the creation you make at the end of it! More

There is nothing better than having a laugh with Baba. He has a wicked sense of humour and really makes me giggle till my stomach hurts at times.
When we did our painting last week, I knew within a few minutes that he was not going to want to leave it alone. He wanted to carry on and on so I had to bribe him with a biscuit to get him to stop. However before he could have the biscuit he had to wash his hands! More

Real life has taken over at the moment in our household!
I have so much that I want to write about on the blog, but at the moment I just have not had time. But I will, the light is opening at the end of the tunnel and the mayhem has nearly finished!
So what has been happening that has made me be so busy? More
