Play School

So Baba has started pre-school. He started three weeks ago and it was a thing that I was very anxious about.

But really did not need to be. He was ready Mr L and I had been saying that he was ready for a long time. But I had been secretly been putting it off.

Luckily my cousin pushed me into it, and I am so glad that she did. More

Water Play!

There is nothing better than having a laugh with Baba. He has a wicked sense of humour and really makes me giggle till my stomach hurts at times.

When we did our painting last week, I knew within a few minutes that he was not going to want to leave it alone. He wanted to carry on and on so I had to bribe him with a biscuit to get him to stop. However before he could have the biscuit he had to wash his hands! More

The Gallery – Favourite Photo

This week the theme over at The Gallery is your Favourite Photo! Now I have already used this picture before for The Gallery – One Day In August Sunday 29th but I wanted to use it again as it is my favourite and there is a story behind it!

Feeding The Ducks!

Today we went to feed the ducks! I was fed up indoors, and it was a lovely day so I thought that we had better make the most of it and get out as much as we can while it is still possible. Living in this country you just never know.

So I asked Baba whether he wanted his pushchair and got a very distinctive no! Now it is a little way to the ducks to be honest. Especially if you have little legs, I told him that I wouldn’t carry him and he still said no. So we walked to the ducks for the first time ever!

It took a long time to get there, and we stopped lots. Mainly because so many airplanes where flying over us so we had to keep having a look. We also had to have a little break so Baba could have  a little sit down! More

What A Boy!

Baba has never ceased in amazing me, and the past week has been no different!

He is twenty-one months old now, and is a proper boy! He loves all things vehicle related, he is obsessed with trains, planes, tractors, cars, vans, trucks, boats, buses and bikes. Going out is an adventure I can tell you, we are told every time he sees one of these on our journey. It can take a while. He waves to every bus that passes and practically shouts when he sees any of the above!

He loves animals, and gets so excited about Tito, JoJo and Stewie it is usually what gets him to come home when we are out. He helps us feed Tito daily, he helps us feed the rabbits, he sits completely still with a towel over his lap so that he can hold the rabbits. Although he does scream a lot, but he is trying to be quiet bless him. More

I Hate It Hate It!

I know that I shouldn’t, that I should be grateful for such lovely weather but I hate it. I hate it so much!

I love to look at the sun, but that is where it stops. Baba and I are both strawberry blondes, with really fair skin and I am full of freckles. Which I am sure Baba will be too, he just has not yet got them. But because of our skin I am constantly stressed about him wearing suncream, and a sun hat. The whole of my family and Mr L’s family laugh at me but I am so concerned about him getting burnt that I can’t help it. More

Friday Fun Times

Today Baba and I went to see some friends who we haven’t seen for a while and we took the little men off to a toddler gym for the morning.

This was the first time that Baba had been to one of these and he loved it, he had a go on everything. Although it took him a long time to go on the bouncy castle, he kept shaking his head saying no to me every time that I asked. In the end I took no notice of him, and carried him onto the castle, and we just bounced. Once we had done that he loved the whole concept of the castle and then didn’t want to get off, always the way!

I was so proud of him though, as his little face lite up once we arrived, and as soon as I opened up his pushchair he was off. Not one single ounce of nervousness. He is not at all like his mother! More

Days Like These

Today Baba and I have had a great day, enjoying the basic things off life.

We walked and we played all day long. Now I know that most of you will say that is nothing unusual, but for us it is a little strange. Usually we are so busy either doing things or having things to do at home. But today I noticed a change.

Baba is getting better at amusing himself, and I love it. Not that I want him doing things on his own all the time! But in the past, I have had to use things, such as music or the tv to keep him amused just for the fifteen minutes that I need to get out and do the washing. But this is no longer needed. More

Anger!

He sits on the floor, building his tower.
Lego is his thing at the moment.
It is a joy to watch he gets higher and higher and looks so pleased with himself.
He has decided that he doesn’t want that Lego there, so off it comes.
He pulls and pulls,
To no avail,
His face goes red
He groans, he moans
I ask whether he wants some help
He looks,
He turns his back. More
